Route Description for Irish Law:-

Ordnance Survey map 63.
Distance from Glasgow city centre to car parking: 42.2km / 26.2 miles.
Walking distance from parking: l2.2km / 7.6 miles.
Height of climbing: 420m / 1378ft.

Pleasant hill walking with no steep ascents. Starts and ends easily, there-after heathery, tufty and peaty at parts.
Park car on or near old road opposite Blaiipark farm on A760 ( Kilbirnie to Largs ) road, just past Muirhead Reservoir. NS250574.
Cross road and walk along old track round farm.
This leads pleasantly uphill. ( There is a building higher up on the left with a track up to it. )
Continue North until track begins to descend.
Turn right and cross over to side of Feuside Hill.
Go round its left side and then on to Box Law ( 470m / 1543ft ).
Return direct South to Irish Law ( 484m / 1587ft ),
then over to Knockside Hills
descend to main motor road near start.

 To shorten this walk, from the point where the track begins to descend ,
 turn right ( East ), cross over burn and climb Irish Law ( omitting Box Law ). Save 4.5km 2.8m].
